group of spirits that form physical beings by mentally integrating themselves.
They are constantly trying to dominate other species, but thus far they have
only been found on Maherty. It is rumored the Kin can be vanquished into or
summoned from the bowels of Maherty. This seems to be true, as a
resurrection or resurgence of the Kin has recently come about. The Kin often
act as symbiotes or parasites when they cannot fully integrate their own body
forms. This greatly enhances the host's combat skills and allows the Kin spirit
to concentrate their powers through another body than their own.
