Mia Higgins was the daughter of one time Acer's Huey pilot, Harold Higgins.
Mia's father is still alive and well, living with the other families of the Hueys
members. He decided to give up the position for a quieter life, relaxing with his
wife Leia Higgins. Though he did not wish for his daughter to become a
Mechwarrior, Harold let Mia decide her own future. He was neither impressed nor
disappointed with his daughter's choice, but preferred not to discuss the decision.
Harold now plays a different role for the Hueys. He inspects possible employers to
ensure both the Hueys safety and integrity.
Mia decided not to pilot her father's Locust. While she did pilot a scout Mech, she
wanted something a bit different than the old Locust model. Mia had been piloting
for only 6 years. Her abilities ranked her almost even with most Inner Sphere
pilots. She eagerly waited for the special training sessions with the Acer's Hueys
new partners, the Strider's Strikers. Mia was very excited about working with the
Clan members of the unit. She was especially interested in Mechwarrior Rally of
Clan Steel Viper.
Mia fell victim to the riots of 3067 on Outreach while the Hueys unit were meeting
with the Mercenary Review Board. She was pulled away from her teammates by
one of the angry mob. In seconds she was lost from sight and pushed to the
ground. Though her body was never recovered to confirm her death, the Hueys
have assumed the crowd killed her as they did most of their other victims during
the violent protest. Her death haunts her father the most, who feels she paid for
many of the mistakes he made in life.
