Bob Hoskins

Muslim Cleric
Bob Hoskins is a Muslim cleric. Stationed with troops during the majority of his
career in the faith, Bob has come to know the life of Mechwarriors well. He lived
for several years in battlefield conditions, a post in which he felt his presence was
needed the most. His time with the Free World's League militia has taught him
much about piloting Mechs and even honed his talent with the machines to a finer
degree than many of his teammates.
Bob does not push his faith on anyone, nor does he agree with Blakist extremists in
their attempts to push their beliefs onto others. Bob has found what many of his
Cruaders teammates have, that the Blakist threat to other cultures and religions is
very real. Through what he theorizes to be political machinations in his own militia,
Bob witnessed the downfall of many anti-Blakist units in his homeworld's military
guard. The loss of several of his colleagues eventually pushed him to resign and
join a mercenary unit.
Bob believes that those friends he lost were specifically targeted by extremists and
that he too would have met the same end had he not left. This overwhelming
revelation is what now drives him to actively seek out and reveal extremists
wherever he can find them.
