Mechwarrior Jarred was a Nova Cat solahma. Though his superior genetics
allowed him to fight throughout his life as a Clan warrior, he was unable to attain a
bloodname. Faced with disgrace by an elite star of Clan Wolf warriors, Jarred
slowly found his rise to Star Commander cut short. Continuous loss followed the
Trial of Possession failure, and Jarred's age slowly became a factor in his status.
After an embarrassing defeat when challenged by a superior Nova Cat veteran,
Jarred was officially deemed unworthy of maintaining his position. His unavoidable
problems left him as a solahma. Jarred dreamt only of dying a warrior's death in
combat.
He finally realized his dream when given a chance to defend his new unit against
Blakist attackers in 3068. Jarred was killed by a single hit during the initial trade
of fire. The shot struck his cockpit violently, destroying his precious armor and
crushing him within. He was the first of the solahmas to lose their life in the attack.
However he played an important role in serving his Clan by protecting the
retreating members of the unit and received several awards from the Inner Sphere
members of the unit posthumously.
