While most pilots of 95-ton BattleMech pilots do not even consider the use of jump
jets, Mechwarrior Jules became an expert with them. Jules' Mech was the
Executioner, which traditionally sports jump jets for increased maneuverability.
Jules became very efficient with the jets, practicing with them during regular
battles. Taking a liking to Mechwarrior Kain's tactics, Jules began using the
"death from above" form of physical combat. It is unclear if Star Commander
Stenson approved of such "Inner Sphere" tactics. Jules continued to use this
move, even without Stenson's direct approval, thanks to Ristar Cecil's recent
support of some forms of physical combat.
Jules was killed during the Clan attack on the Word of Blake. He played an
important role in the victory, moving to attack the Blakist commander immediately
as the battle begun. His Executioner drew dozen of enemy Mechs' fire. However
Jules was able to fire repeatedly on the enemy commander's Mech, eventually
crippling it before his own Mech was destroyed in a fusion explosion. He was
awarded several medals by the team's Inner Sphere commander Duo Maxwell.
Sasha Breen has also moved to ensure his codex, or genetic material, will be used
for creating the Steel Vipers' next generation of warriors. This is one of the
highest honors within the Clan culture.
