Yoshi Karamoto lives to fight. His past in the Capellan March provides him with
an impressive resume. Yoshi's family tree consists of several famous in-system
Mechwarriors, including Staveh Karamoto. The Karamoto tradition has lived long
and prosperous through Yoshi, and he now feels it is time for him to move on.
After reaching Outreach Yoshi met with Adam Vindraff, another Capellan March
inhabitant. Though the two's political views varied greatly, they became good
friends. Yoshi signed on with the Strikers even as Adam was reviewing his own
Striker contract. Yoshi's Sha Yu is a proud symbol of his past and his nation's
recent Xin Sheng program.
Yoshi has since lost his friend Adam to the Word of Blake attacks on the Strikers
unit. He played an important role in protecting the base from the Blakists, as well
as winning it back with the help of Nova Cat reinforcements. His experience
against the Word of Blake's forces has led to him form his own anti-Blakist
movement within the Strikers, specifically that of the Toyama faction.
Yoshi was a survivor of the terrible Blakist attacks of 3068. He survived only
through sheer skill and luck, able to fend off several attackers and make his way to
a Dropship pickup just before the entire Strikers base was lost.
