After most campaigns, the Strider's Strikers technicians find themselves
overworked. The Clan half of the unit has a relatively standard number of techs,
but the Inner Sphere half is understrength for a unit of the Striker's size.
Mechwarrior Rosa held no objections to this situation. A monkey wrench by
nature, Rosa enjoyed tinkering with her Mech when she was not piloting it.
Thanks to Inner Sphere pilots, Rosa regularly tried her hand as a technician while
working on Inner Sphere Mechs. Though she was often disgusted at how outdated
the Inner Sphere technology is, she nevertheless enjoyed her chance to work on
the Mechs. Most Clan members objected to her working on their Mechs,
preferring licensed technicians rather than amateurs. Rosa could often be found in
the Mech shed, following Rocky Potts while he worked on his latest projects.
Rosa was killed during the Nova Cats training exercise that was held just before
the Clan portion of the team attacked a Blakist base. Her Mech's sensor systems
appeared to have malfunctioned, but several of her teammates suspected foul play.
In addition to the Clan's fewer technical malfunctions, Rosa was also a pilot who
double-checked all of her own systems personally. Some believe she might have
led to her own demise, failing to consult with experts when modifying the system.
Others believe that someone within the mercenary unit, perhaps a Blakist spy, had
rigged her Mech to ensure her death's occurrence.
