Kenneth Winston is the Acer's Hueys replacement for Vender Stepps. Vender
retired in 3052 after Kenneth successfully completed the Huey's entrance exam.
Vender now lives elsewhere on Brisbane, the Acer's Hueys temporary homeworld.
Kenneth, Vender's protege and nephew, is a talented pilot. He has trained for 2
years within the Capellan militia's Mechwarrior ranks. Though he does not excel
in any specific aspect of Mech piloting, Kenneth scores better than the average
Inner Sphere Mechwarrior. He will no doubt improve his skills over the future
years.
Kenneth Winston pilots Vender Stepps' Valkyrie. Due to the Valkyrie's old age,
the machine must constantly be worked on. Luckily for Kenneth, constant repair
and maintenance of the 35-ton Mech have allowed for several upgrades. After
joining on with the Strider's Strikers unit, the young pilot is counting on additional
replacement parts and some of the more advanced technology the team has access
to.
Kenneth has studied about his unit's history and tried to make himself a worthy
representative of the team. He was trusted with important tasks during the Hueys'
unit's trial by the Mercenary Review Board. He was shocked and surprised by the
losses suffered during the riots, probably more so than any of his fellow pilots. It
was some of the first carnage for him to witness in person and has no doubt had a
profound effect on him.
