When Katrina Steiner was dethroned at the conclusion of the FedCom Civil War,
thousands of soldiers were either shocked or in disbelief to hear how their
leader had deceived them.  Among the many, some individuals and a few entire
units sworn a new loyalty to Prince Victor.  However not all individuals could be
convinced that Victor or Katrina had been telling the truth.  These soldiers felt
they could no longer trust their system of government.  They decided to
relocate their whole lives to another part of the universe.
Luke-Jean Dracip was among those who left Steiner space.  Luke-Jean trusted
neither of his political leaders, and contemplated moving to a planet on the far
edge of the Periphery where politic matters were less important.  Realizing he
could find little legitimate work here as a soldier, he decided to instead join a
    mercenary unit.
A one-time opposer of the Warden Clans, Luke-Jean found new respect for the
Clans who were now taking an active part in defending the Inner Sphere.
Moving into the Labrea system of the Irece Prefecture, he came upon the
amalgam team called the Strider's Strikers.  Not only was he interested in the
group because of their engineering ingenuity, but he also respected their close
alliance that allowed members of the Nova Cat Clan to work as part of their unit.
Though he was promised a position on the team by their temporary
headquarters commander, Holden Trumphay, Luke-Jean was forced to live in a
nearby city until he could officially be recruited into the team.
When the Strider's Strikers base in the Labrea system came under attack by
Word of Blake forces, Luke-Jean was itching to play a part in the fight.  He
realized that the skeleton crew that was occupying the base was severely
outnumbered.  Luke-Jean posed as a Word of Blake officer, gaining access to
an escape tunnel that lead into the Strikers base.  He was able to identify
himself and was welcomed into the team.  Though he had no Mech of his own to
pilot, the Strikers granted him use of a Ninja To assault Mech.  The Strikers had
acquired the Mech through a shady transaction that had been successfully
handled by their temporary commander Holden.
In the Blakist attacks of 3068, Luke-Jean and his lancemates were ordered to
defend a position near their defensive outpost.  Upon deployment from the
safety of the makeshift Mech hangar, the lance was ambushed by Word of
Blake forces who had already infiltrated the area.  Luke-Jean gave his lance
leader his strongest recommendations to retreat against twin enemy attacks
from each side.  However lance leader Hayato Rihaku made a hasty decision to
split forces, pitting all Mechwarriors against incredible odds.  Threatening to
take command on his own, Luke-Jean wielded to his lance leader and faced dire
straits.  Surrounded by Blakists, Luke-Jean's Mech sustained heavy damage
from physical attacks.  It is believed that he was killed by intense neural
    feedback early during the confrontation.
