Bret - Con Artist Xandar Harlow
Well we will start this show with Bret.  Bret is the only
Striker whom had played BattleTech before we started
playing (one of his cousins owned the original version of
the game back in the 80s!).  Bret started playing the card
game with us back in high school.  His character is Xandar
Harlow, a troublemaking con artist who managed to
befriend Strider long ago.  Xandar normally wipes the
floor with his enemies, piloting a 100 ton Devastator.  Bret
usually takes missions with a grain of salt, not worrying
too heavily because he knows it will all work out, juuuust
fine.  He plays little nowadays cause the game takes so
much time, but when he does play he can really get into it.
He is a nutrition science major in his 3rd year. His other
hobbies include a fiance Adriana (I sorry if i spelled
wrong), EverQuest, and a pure hatred of his human body
professor.  Hey Bret how are those Punisher comics
holding up?
When we asked Chad to create a character for
BattleTech, he couldn't help but "borrow" from Japanese
anime.  That's right, it's Chad who controls Duo
Maxwell, a young samurai monk from the Draconis
Combine.  Chad usually plays with us if he's in the right
place at the right time.  His sense of humor adds a lot of
fun to the gameplay, and he seems to be a big fan of
physical combat (just like his character).  Though the
BattleTech game can go on without him, Chad is a
valued player that keeps it interesting.  I expect his
seeming obsession with video games provides him with
the imagination necessary to engage in our BattleTech
brawls.  He stays busy with his graduate studies in
engineering, shopping at Walmart, and making
homemade salsa.
Tim - Lance Commander Von Sturmer
If ya can't tell by looking, Tim is quite a crack up.  This character is
famous for hanging out in the computer labs in Deakin University, chatting
for hours to his over-200 girlfriends.  Tim joined the game while Mike was
in Geelong, Australia.  His character is Von Sturmer, an elite pilot that
commands the scout lance of the Acer's Hueys.  Though he hasn't played
all that long, Tim seems to have the basics of the game memorized.  He
knows his right torso from his left torso, and he's proud of it.  Tim has
grown famous for his ability to land safely, even when his Mech's missing
a leg and making a jump jet escape from certain death!  Like many
beginners, he also possesses the "never win the intiative" talent.  He usually
has a good time playing BT, kicking enemies around while munching on
Mike's favourite(spelled Australian, of course) aussie snack, Tasty Cheese
Crispy Sticks.  Tim is one of the many good friends Mike has made in
Australia.  His transportation, a go-cart in disguise of a car, is much
appreciated.  Oh yeah, and Tim can speak a foreign language, right SCHLU!
Jim - Freelance Mercenary Ted Conrad
Jim is a one time BattleTech player.  He has just recently created his
character Ted "Big Unit" Conrad.  I'm not exactly sure what this all
means but we might have to check back to Jim himself on that one.
I suppose it could imply the 85 ton Black Watch BattleMech his
character pilots, or maybe the Mech's Medium Range Missile Rack
of 40, or it could just mean that Jim has an obsession with units.
Who knows...?  However, one thing is for sure, Jim is in good
spirits ALL THE TIME.  Science has yet to discover a time when
this guy was mad.  His joking nature keeps the game interesting as
Chad's does, but Jim seems to root for the bad guys for some reason.
Any comments Jim?  He is a senior in Chemistry (run away, run
away!) and hopes to soon create his own time machine.

Players...
Occasionally playing with the old school Striker team,
these are some of the jokers that join us on occasion (if
we can convince them to).  Note that Chad is a pretty
regular player.  Jim is new to the game but seems to
enjoy playing.  Bret is also a regular player like Chad.
He has fought many missions and has only recently
stopped playing.
