Kurstan - Star Colonel Devon Carns
Well first off we should give credit where
credit is due. This is Kurstan, the brains behind
the game. Kurstan was the original Techer. He
picked up a box of BattleTech CCG cards and
got us into the game. Kurstan also bought the
first BattleTech board game set, and hosted the
first BattleTech board game party. Did I
mention Kurstan is the one who thought up the
idea of creating a storyline for our games?
Sheer genius. Kurstan's character is Clan Star
Captain Devon Carns, who was recently
promoted to Co Commander of the Strikers.
By the way, Kurstan is a senior in mechanical
engineering. He also likes doritos...
Ryan - Technician Ryan Allen
Where oh where did the Ryan guy go? Ryan is one of the
first 'Techers to join us in our quest for glory. Ryan started
playing the CCG with us in high school. He invented his
character, Ryan Allen, as a BattleMech-factory worker who
accidentally becomes involved with piloting Mechs. His
character relies on so called "dumb luck". This translates
most easily as a gunnery 1, piloting 6. Ryan has recently
moved farther away from the rest of us, but we are anxious to
see him whenever we get the chance. It seems time is finally
slipping away from us, but we'll do the best we can with
what we got. We miss ya Ryan. By the way, Ryan's
character Ryan Allen is still kicking some ass with his trusty
old 70 ton Infighter. We'll down a swill for you Ryan...
Jules - Commander Ace Leghorn
While Mike was off in Australia as a university exchange student,
he just had to introduce the country to BattleTech. Julian seems to
be the first Aussie to fall for the old "big robot game" ploy. He is a
2nd year student studying architecture. When he's not busy
drawing structures or just plain doodling, Julian usually hits Mike
up for a game of BattleTech. Creating a new team based in the past
when compared to the Strikers, Julian and Mike have found a way to
play BattleTech while limited to 3028 technology. Julian's
character is Ace Leghorn - Commander of the company-sized Acer's
Hueys mercenary unit. His character pilots the 85 ton Stalker,
boasting more weapons than it could ever use. It's advanced
Penetrator technology scares any enemy. Julian is a helluva player
that truly enjoys the strategy of the game. He will be sorely missed
when Mike leaves Australia....darn it all...
Dave - Comstar Veteran Mace Volt
Looks like Dave is getting ready to play. I wonder
if he's gonna take his jacket off? Dave is one of the
original 3 to first play a BattleTech game(the CCG).
He is also due a wee bit of credit, laddie. Without
his help, this site would have never been created.
nly with his tactical genius could he teach me how
to make this thing. Dave's character Mace Volt is a
Comstar Acolyte piloting a Marik Guillotine. Dave
is a sophomore in graphic design. Needless to say
he is gonna actually enjoy his job after college.
Dave lives farther away than anyone but we see him
fairly often. Oh yeah and I can't forget to tell you
that he has beaten Mega Man, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 for
original Nintendo....

Well in every game there has to be a newbie. Except
Todd isn't your average newbie. Going by his previous
gaming experience, Todd should be considered the
veteran of the bunch. His work with White Wolf, and his
quick to learn attitude has this guy out there with the rest
of us. Not sure if that is good or bad? Todd's always up
for a game of BattleTech if he's got the time. He loves
dishing out PPC blasts with his Clan Star Commander
Sasha Breen, but Todd makes sure the bad guys give us
the hammer too. His enthusiam is worth noting and his
joking nature makes a great addition to our team. He is a
junior in biology. Hey Todd, thing her blue!
Mike - Commander Mike Strider
Well its not exactly the coolest to write about yourself,
so I'll try not to. Mike is usually the BattleTech board
game organizer. He is also the owner of about a million
miniatures, which he often uses to lure and recruit new
Strikers with. Mike's character is Mike Strider, the
aging, one-time Hansen's Roughrider who is now Co -
Commander of the Strikers. Mike loves painting the
miniatures if he has got the time, but as of late that
seems to be grinding to a halt. His character regularly
uses hand to hatchet physical combat and even stresses it
within the Striker's ranks. Mike is a senior in biology
and anthropology.

The Strider's Strikers are actually based in Kansas (of all places!). Don't even start with the Wizard of Oz jokes. Anyways, I would like to thank all my friends for playing along in our BattleTech games. Bret, Dave, Chris, Andrew, Jeremy, Ryan, Chad, Todd, Kurstan; and even one timers such as Jon, Craig, Michael, Keegan, Erika, Blake, and Kim. Hopefully some of you, like myself, have had a lot of fun messing with the different aspects of BattleTech. Of course hanging out is the best part, but surely I don't have to tell you how cool the Mechs are. Anyhoos, here are the principle players in most of our BattleTech games.
