Always admired for his luck, Thomas TrevahrDhyl remained a popular pilot
among the Acer’s Hueys.  Though he never attained his original desired position
as a lance commander, Thomas was very comfortable with his place in the
Hueys.  He was eventually paid for his loyalty to the unit, given a new Mech in
3048 by then commander, Ace Leghorn.  The Mech was not just given for
Thomas to use, but the team decided it was his to own for his years of
dedication.  The Hoplite, a rare salvage from the Wolf’s Dragoon mercenary
unit, is a fast, lightly armed but powerful BattleMech that the Hueys team
deemed well tailored for Thomas’s skills.  Indeed, the well armored machine
constantly proved its worth in its years of service.  In times when Thomas’s
luck ran low, the incredible armor of the scout Mech had kept its veteran pilot
    safe.
Thomas planned to continue working with the Hueys.  When he originally gave
Thomas the machine, commander Ace Leghorn welcomed Thomas to leave the
unit if the pilot had so desired.  Though Thomas had given the offer some
thought, he decided his place was with the Hueys.  Thomas looked forward to
an expectedly brighter future for both the Hueys and himself.  He believed the
partnership with the Strider’s Strikers would prove valuable to all involved.
When Acer’s Hueys traveled to Outreach during 3067, they encountered the
Blakist carnage being wrought against the Wolf’s Dragoons.  Though the
Mercenary Review Board had survived and granted the unit their new operating
license, riots and outbreaks of violence across the city spelt tragedy for the
Hueys.  As they exited one of their meetings, four of the pilots were captured
and killed by the crowd.  Thomas was among them.  He disappeared after being
stabbed with a vibroblade weapon in the back, just before he could enter the
Knox Armored Car that was evacuating the rest of his unit.  He was recovered
by local police within an hour, but pronounced dead upon his arrival at the
    nearest hospital.
